Dear Newport High School Families,
I wanted to give you a heads-up that our 7th and 8th grade students will be completing their spring iReady diagnostic assessments on April 15th (Math) and April 16th (Reading). This is a great opportunity for us to check in on how your student is progressing across the school year.
iReady is an adaptive reading and math assessment that adjusts its questions based on how a student responds, giving us a more accurate picture of where they are academically. We use this data to inform instruction and ensure students are getting the right level of support , whether that means enrichment or additional help in a specific area. The spring diagnostic is especially important because it allows us to compare growth from the beginning of the year and helps us plan for the year ahead.
No preparation is needed on your student's part. We just ask that they get a good night's sleep, come to school ready to focus, and do their personal best.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Tomorrow is a big day. Our juniors will be taking the SAT, a national college-readiness assessment administered by the College Board.
Here's how you can help tonight: make sure your student gets a solid night's sleep, eats a good breakfast in the morning, and arrives at school ready to give it their all. A few simple things can make a real difference.
Our students have put in the work all year long. Tomorrow is their chance to show up and show out.
Do your best, Wildcats. We're proud of you.
