Newport High School is celebrating BIG as our very own Taylen Kinney makes history as the first male basketball player from Northern Kentucky to be named a McDonald’s All American! This incredible honor puts Taylen — and Newport — on the national stage, and the Wildcat family couldn’t be more proud. ❤️🖤
To mark this milestone in true Wildcat fashion, NHS alumnus Keith Greene stepped up in a major way. A Northern Kentucky Athletic Association Hall of Famer for basketball, Keith reached out to fellow Newport alumni with a simple but powerful idea: let’s celebrate Taylen by giving back to our students.
Thanks to Keith’s leadership and the overwhelming generosity of our alumni community, funds were raised to purchase McDonald’s gift cards for Newport students. Student names were entered into a randomizer, and today we were thrilled to hand out 50 gift cards — spreading excitement, pride, and a little extra joy throughout the halls.
👏 A huge thank you to Keith Greene for leading this effort, and to all the alumni who contributed to make it possible. This is what it means to be a Wildcat for life — celebrating excellence, supporting one another, and lifting up the next generation.
Congratulations again to Taylen Kinney on this historic achievement. Newport is proud — and we’re loving every minute of it! 🐾🔥
