A proud Newport High School graduate, John Hayden returns to his alma mater as a dedicated public servant and respected leader in our community. As City Manager of Newport, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement, growth, and opportunity throughout the city he calls home.
His journey from Newport High School student to city leader makes him an especially meaningful voice for this year’s graduating class. Mr. Hayden brings a message of perseverance, service, and pride in community—reminding our seniors that their roots can be the foundation for their future success.
