Congratulations to the class of 2026!
Wildcat families, the big day is almost here! Join us this Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00 AM in the NHS Gymnasium as we celebrate the Class of 2026 at Newport High School's 150th Commencement. One hundred and fifty years of Wildcat graduates is a milestone worth honoring, and we cannot wait to see our seniors walk across that stage.

A few important notes as you make your plans:

Doors will be locked at 10:50 AM and will remain closed during the graduate procession. They will reopen at approximately 11:15 AM. Please arrive early to make sure you do not miss the start of the ceremony.

Also, please leave noise makers, air horns, balloons, and similar items at home. We want every family to clearly hear their graduate's name called.

See you Saturday. Go Wildcats!

A few reminders for your student during this stretch: get a full night of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and please make attendance a priority. These tests matter, and showing up ready makes a real difference.

Most importantly — we want students to come in and put forth their best effort. Students who demonstrate good faith effort and strong attendance throughout the testing window will be recognized and rewarded for it.

Our students work hard every day, and testing season is just another opportunity to show what they know. We believe in them, and we hope you'll help us send them in with confidence.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Let's finish strong, Newport!
