🎭⚡ Get ready for a mythological adventure! ⚡🎭
NHS Drama Summer Camp proudly presents "The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza!" by Don Zolidis — a hilarious and fast-paced journey through the world of Ancient Greek myths!
📅 Date: July 1st, 2025
🕕 Time: 6:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Newport High School Auditorium
Join us for an evening of gods, monsters, and epic laughs as our talented campers bring mythology to life on stage. Don’t miss it! 🏛️🎟️ #NHSSummerDrama #GreekMythologyOlympiaganza #TheatreFun

Hi all! Hope you are having a wonderful summer!
Our drama camp kiddos have been going strong since June 3rd working on their summer show.
Since the district theme for summer school this year is Ancient Heroes, I chose The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza by comedy writer Don Zolidis . The show is a spoof of Greek Mythology with nearly 40 characters and four different timeless myths wrapped into 45 minutes of fun. These kids have learned so much about Greek history and mythology while preparing this show. We are incredibly proud of them.
We will perform our show Tuesday July 1st at 6 pm in the auditorium. Admission will be free, but we will be accepting donations for the theatre program and the students will be doing their Character Box Challenge for Donations as well.
Please be sure to make time to stop by and see them if you are still in town.
Thank you for all of your support, and be sure to save the date for these talented kiddos! Putting together a show in four weeks is not easy and they deserve to have all the applause!
Dramatically yours,
Ms. Brittany Stacy
NHS Theatre Teacher

🎭🎓 Our summer school students took a field trip to NKU today and had a great time exploring campus! While the arts building was under renovation and off-limits, we still toured several others and got a real feel for college life.
A highlight? The NKU SOTA staff led some fun acting exercises! Thanks to NKU for the warm welcome and awesome experience! 💛🖤

🎉 Celebrating Two Incredible Careers! 🎉
This week, we gathered to honor the retirements of Irv Schulkers and Tim Grayson — two employees who have dedicated their hearts and talents to our school community. ❤️ 🐾
Thank you, Irv and Tim, for the wisdom, laughter, and care you've shared over the years. You’ve made a lasting impact, and you’ll be deeply missed!
Enjoy every moment of your well-earned retirement! ☀️

🎓✨ What a Day to Remember!✨🎓
Today, our hearts were full as the Class of 2025 took part in two powerful traditions:
🏈 Meet Me at the 50 – Seniors met the Class of 2037 on the 50-yard line in a beautiful passing of the torch. From tiny hands to graduation caps, this moment captured the spirit of community, legacy, and lifelong connection. ❤️
👟 Senior Walk – Our halls echoed with cheers and happy tears as seniors took their final walk through the schools, greeted by students and staff who have cheered them on every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who made today unforgettable. Here's to the memories, the milestones, and the bright futures ahead! 🌟

Newport High Shines in Song!
Last Thursday’s band and choir concert at Newport High School was a fantastic showcase of student talent. From powerful vocals to impressive instrumental pieces, the night was filled with energy, skill, and school spirit. Bravo to all who performed!

We have been asked to share the following opportunity for this summer. Please see the flyer for more information.

7th and 8th Grade parents are invited to Awards Day. See below for more information.

Last week, we celebrated the real MVPs of our school day—our incredible cafeteria team! From early mornings and hot ovens to warm smiles and full bellies, our Lunch Heroes do it all.
They serve more than just meals—they serve kindness, encouragement, and a daily dose of comfort. Whether it’s remembering a favorite snack or brightening someone’s day with a cheerful “hello,” their impact goes far beyond the lunch line.
To our Lunch Heroes: thank you for nourishing our students with care, love, and a whole lot of heart. We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re so lucky to have you on our team!
Let’s give them a round of applause—and maybe even a high five in the cafeteria!
